SpeechLive: Philips Device Connector Now Available for Mac OS

SpeechLive: Philips Device Connector Now Available for Mac OS

As of August 30th, 2021, Philips hardware and devices such as the ACC2310/ACC2330 Foot Controls, SpeechOne Headsets and SpeechMike microphones can now be fully utilised with SpeechLive when using Mac OS. This is achieved with the new Mac OS compatible Philips Device Connector software (PDC) and Google Chrome extension.

PDC is programmed to detect button inputs on your devices and then when partnered with the new chrome extension, allows you to use compatible Philips hardware with the SpeechLive web-based software.

Using PDC helps to resolve several issues which were previously not accessible as a Mac user;

  • The SpeechLive browser tab does not have to be in focus (visible) while using Philips dictation and transcription devices.
  • The Philips devices work plug and play without switching them to browser mode.
  • The LEDs on the Philips devices work perfectly showing you the exact status of your recording.
