SpeechLive V1.3.0 Android
Released in the early weeks of October 2021, an update for SpeechLive iOS was released. Some of the new features found in that update were found to be extremely useful and have now been made available in the Android application too.
Email Dictations
This additional sending method allows you to forward dictations via email. any email app available on your smartphone is compatible which drastically helps increase workflow.
Sending Options
With the new update for Android, you can now only view sending options that are applicable to your corresponding package, for example;
- Send to transcription service (for external transcription services)
- Send to speech-to-text
Furthermore, if the Speech-to-text option is not available or disabled, you won’t be presented with two options when starting a new dictation - instead the audio recorder will be opened straight away.
File Cleanup
To assist with smartphone memory limitations, Philips have implemented a file cleanup function which deleted local copies of all archived and finished recordings that are older than 2 weeks from the smartphone. The original files on SpeechLive remain untouched.
Dictation Properties Tweaks
With the new Philips SpeechLive Mobile app, you can reuse previously entered dictation properties. In previous versions of the app, the entries were not saved, so changing dictation properties was quite cumbersome.
With the new app, all the values you enter are saved and presented to you for selection as soon as you tap in the corresponding field.
This will reduce the time you spend in the properties window. Furthermore, you have the option to delete individual saved values from the list by tapping the trash icon. This feature is available for all properties with a text field.
Picture Attachments
Philips have increased the number of attachable pictures to a single dictation from 20 to 75.
Increased Encryption
To comply with high security standards in law enforcement Philips have implemented a function that automatically encrypts all the dictations that you create on your smartphone. Thus, your dictations are protected from unauthorized persons even if they gain access to the smartphone.
