As you may be aware, Olympus Audio are now OM System. Many of their products and accessories will remain the same as before, albeit with updated branding on the items and packaging. 

However, there are a few things changing in relation to OM System software licensing and associated products and kits. Please read on below for some further information...

New ODMS R8 Software Licenses

OM System ODMS R8 is now the current version of ODMS, with improved support and compatibility with both Windows 10/11 and new OM System hardware. There's no longer a 'standard/entry level' software version available in the new OM System range - instead, the entry option is ODMS R8. 

ODMS R8 is available as a perpetual, standalone license, supplied with separately and with the below products:

• DS-2700 Voice Recorder
• AS-2700 Transcription Kit

It's worth noting that any ODMS R8 licenses no longer include a DSS Player Plus for Mac license. The only Mac compatible software version in OM System's portfolio is now ODMS Cloud. 

ODMS Cloud

ODMS Cloud is OM System's Pro-level solution, now featuring web-based access for authors and typists. ODMS Cloud is an annual subscription priced at £99.00 plus VAT per user, per annum. 

Along with automatic upload to the cloud and web-based management, ODMS Cloud also enables users with an author license to dictate and send recordings directly from the ODMS Cloud mobile app (iOS/Android). 

A single-user ODMS Cloud license (12-month subscription) is supplied with the below OM System products:

• DS-9100 Premium Kit
• DS-9100 Standard Kit
• AS-9100 Transcription Kit

ODMS Cloud is both Windows and Mac compatible - so for any Mac OS users, ODMS Cloud is the only option in the OM System product range.
